that domestic violence or any type of physical, mental or emotional of abuse in the home should never be tolerated under any set of circumstances.
that each child has the right to know their legal father and receive emotional as well as monetary support from both legal parents. We also advocate that paternity fraud or omission have no place in the judicial system.
that no person should be forced to forgo their legal family rights or remain in an unhealthy living situation simply because they cannot afford a high priced attorney.
in exhausting all resources and negotiations through the council of affordable legal services in order to help families reach an amicable and fair settlement.
We recognize that a settlement is often a less expensive and a less emotionally scarring alternative to a trial. But if fair settlement terms are not forthcoming, trial is the best recourse. We don't take cases with the intent of just hoping for a settlement; we prepare for trial.
